Lena (Marta Nieradkiewicz), a recently divorced 40-year-old actress, is determined to reclaim her independence and start over. She dives into the pulsing energy of Warsaw’s nightlife, and soon falls for the charismatic Kundel (Mieszko Chomka), a younger law student. Their connection is an explosion of passion, where the lines between intimacy and raw desire begin to blur. Meanwhile, her ex-husband Jan (Marcin Czarnik), a prominent lawyer, refuses to accept that their marriage is over. A spyware app installed on her phone and a rented apartment directly across from her windows become his tools for controlling her. Is this still just unrequited love, or has it crossed the line into a dangerous obsession? Director Łukasz Grzegorzek (Kamper, A Coach’s Daughter) makes a surprising stylistic shift in this film, melding romantic drama and erotic thriller with great mastery. He has crafted a sensual and provocative portrait of modern intimacy, with a dose of dark humor. It’s a raw, obscenely real exploration of love – at once beautiful, toxic, and mad. Sometimes people need a third chance.
