15-year-old Frida is an outsider who has a hard time finding anything in common with her peers. She keeps to herself and doesn't really like socializing at school. When it turns out she has to work on a school project with Marius, the top student in her class, it seems like the worst possible pairing — especially since he treats this task as just another opportunity to prove how he good he is at handling any situation. But headstrong Frida has no intention of making it easy for him. Conceived as an initiation film, Psychobitch by Norwegian director Martin Lund is a bittersweet study of bold young characters; it confirms of the old saying that opposites attract. The film is full of youthful energy, passion, nonconformity and reckless teenage fantasy. No wonder Psychobitch has won the hearts of audiences at so many European festivals.
